My experiments with light, color, form, and the darker reflections of something soft. The felt and wood pieces are explorations of playful forms that have a hint of gesture but are still abstracted. These pieces came about through a back and forth conversation between the object and its shadow. For me, this conversation took place by making an object, tracing its cast shadow, then manipulating the shadow into a somewhat personified drawings, then incorporating the shadow back into the object.
